Most tools say a poll is "anonymous." Very few tell you what that means for the data they keep. PollMaker.ai stores no voter IP address at all. When a ballot arrives, the address is hashed together with a secret unique to that poll and thrown away. What remains cannot be reversed into an address or linked across polls, so there is nothing to hand over later, even under pressure.
That is the difference between claiming anonymity and being able to defend it.
For a vote whose result will be questioned, an Event Pass unlocks a verifiable tally: every voter gets a receipt, and anyone can recompute the count in their own browser and confirm no vote was added, dropped, or changed. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
